Poor Alaska...

Guys such sad news but unfortunately Alaska felt the wrath of Mother Nature today as a strong 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck just off the southern coast, about 54 miles south of Sand Point. The quake hit around 12:37 p.m. local time and gave the region quite a jolt—but so far, Alaska is proving its resilience once again.
The earthquake, which struck deep beneath the Pacific, was felt far and wide—including in Anchorage, over 600 miles away! While it was definitely one of those “did you feel that?!” moments, there have been no immediate reports of injuries or major damage.
A tsunami warning was briefly in effect for parts of the southern coastline—from Kennedy Entrance to Unimak Pass. Residents in coastal towns like Kodiak and Unalaska were quick to act, heading to higher ground as a precaution. Fortunately, the warning was lifted and the waves stayed calm.
Aftershocks are expected (because obviously earthquakes rarely go solo), and local authorities are continuing to monitor the situation. Emergency crews are on alert and checking for any impacts. For now, it's a reminder to stay prepared—but not panicked.
Keep all these people in your prayers. We over here are doing so. Thanks for reading!
