Record Breaking Filibuster!

Did you guys hear about the record breaking speech the New Jersey Senator presented? If not, here's a little summary about it! For 25 hours Cory Booker delivered a peaceful and symbolic protest against our president, Donald Trump. The original record for the longest filibuster was in 1957 lasting 24 hours and 18 minutes against the civil rights act delivered by Republican Senator Strom Thurmond, Booker broke this record by about an hour! “The 55-year-old, who is the fourth-ranking Democrat in the chamber, filled some of the time reading letters from constituents, who said they had been harmed by President Trump's policies” this is quoted from the article published online with BBC News.
