Sean Combs AKA Diddy Combs, Acquitted Of Charges.....

Okay you guys. A big update on the diddy trial! The jury found Sean Combs guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, but he was acquitted of the most serious charges in his federal criminal trial. The government still intends to seek a sentence of incarceration and Combs still faces up to 20 years in prison for the two counts he has been convicted of, according to Assistant US Attorney Maurene Comey.

I am a day late to this so be mindful of that. Court began yesterday morning with the jury still deliberating as Judge Arun Subramanian instructed after the jury could not reach a verdict on one of the counts against Combs. At 9:52 a.m. ET the jury sent a note to the judge announcing it reached a verdict on all counts. 

After the verdict was read and before Combs was taken out of the courtroom, he stood up and faced the crowd in the gallery and clapped which prompted the gallery to clap and cheer.

Combs was denied bond while awaiting sentencing. The judge denied bail because “Combs has demonstrated a “disregard for the rule of law and a propensity of violence.” according to a CNN article. The sentencing will take place next tuesday virtually at 2pm it seems to address the sentence and scheduling.
