White House updating. What's to come?

Part of the white house is going to be torn down?! Well folks it looks like a new ballroom is set to be built in the east wing of the white house. “Crews began demolishing parts of the structure on Monday, and two administration officials earlier told the BBC's US partner CBS that it will be completely torn down by the weekend.” according to a BBC news article. 

Trump announced this build/ expansion in the summer of this year(2025). “The White House has served as the historic home of the US president for two centuries. The East Wing was constructed in 1902 and was last modified in 1942.” This side of the house holds offices for the first lady and other staff, as well as meetings and special events. 

Now I dont know about you guys but if i had the chance to explore the white house and all its beautiful glory i think id take the chance, if given of course! 

According to trump this project is being funded by himself, some friends(donors) and apparently even the military is involved!

“The US president announced construction had begun in a social media post on Monday, saying "ground has been broken" on the "much-needed" ballroom space.

He said that the East Wing was "completely separate" from the White House, although it is attached to the main structure.”

What do you guys think of this new construction? Is it making it more modern or destroying the “history” of the east wing. Just a side not it hasnt been updated since 1942.
